Pine Lake is a large, deep lake of 2,122 acres near Hovland with mostly open water and fairly exposed conditions that can turn windy and choppy. The 21 campsites accommodate paddlers accessing it via several portages, with the easiest entry at 9 rods. Open water connects to McFarland, Vale, Table, and Little Caribou. The lake supports excellent fishing for walleye, lake trout, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and perch.
