Canoe Lake is a 96-acre lake near Grand Marais with a maximum depth of 40 feet. It's small and sheltered, offering calm paddling conditions with three campsites. Access is via easy 25-rod portage from Alder Lake, though longer portages to Pine Lake (381 rods, strenuous) are available. The lake connects by open water to Paddle and Alder lakes, and supports walleye, yellow perch, green sunfish, and white sucker.
