Little Caribou, a 53-acre lake near Grand Marais, offers small, sheltered conditions ideal for paddlers seeking calm water. The lake's shallow, weedy bays provide excellent habitat for northern pike, smallmouth bass, walleye, and yellow perch. Access is via straightforward portages: 25 rods (easy) to Caribou or 76 rods (moderate) to Pine. With one campsite, it's best suited for day trips or as a stop between larger lakes.
