Lac la Croix (Canada) Lake

Lac la Croix is a massive 13,662-acre lake near Ely with depths to 168 feet and 76 campsites. The lake's extensive shallow, weedy bays provide excellent fish habitat for walleye, northern pike, lake trout, smallmouth bass, and other species. As a large, open lake exposed to wind, it can be windbound in strong weather. Access involves portages ranging from 8 rods (easy) to 327 rods (strenuous), with open-water connections to Toe, Bottle, Agnes, Yabut, Wabang, and Arch.
