Iron (Canada) Lake

Iron Lake covers 1,531 acres with mostly deep, open water reaching 64 feet and fairly open conditions that can turn windy and choppy. The lake holds 10 campsites and supports walleye, northern pike, saucer, and yellow perch. Access via the 90-rod moderate carry from Dark Lake or the 119-rod portage from Crooked Lake; the longest route to Lac la Croix runs 327 rods and is strenuous. Iron connects directly by open water to Bottle and Crooked Lakes.
