Caribou Lake

Caribou is a 462-acre lake near Grand Marais with mostly deep, open water reaching 65 feet. The lake holds 14 campsites and offers access to Little Caribou and Deer via portages ranging from 25 to 106 rods. The shortest entry is the 25-rod easy portage to Little Caribou, while the longest carry to Clearwater spans 106 rods and is considered difficult. Note that spiny waterfleas are present in this lake.
