Hanson Lake

Hanson is a 289-acre lake with mostly deep, open water reaching 100 feet maximum depth. Small and sheltered from wind, it offers four campsites near Prairie Portage. The easiest access is an 11-rod portage to Clam (easy carry), while longer routes include a 102-rod hard portage to Knife. The lake connects by open water to Clam, Ester, and Link, and supports lake trout, burbot, cisco species, lake whitefish, smallmouth bass, and white sucker.
