Powell is a small, sheltered 51-acre lake in Cook County near Tofte with one campsite and a maximum depth of 75 feet. Access is via an easy 14-rod portage from West Fern, which is also directly connected by open water. A longer 35-rod portage to French offers an alternative route, though both carries are easy.
