Makwa is a small, sheltered 128-acre lake with a maximum depth of 76 feet, located near Prairie Portage. It offers three campsites and connects by open water to Elton and Birl. Access is via a 40-rod easy portage, with further travel requiring portages of 59 rods to Elton or 76 rods to Hoe.
