Elton Lake

Elton is a 124-acre lake near Prairie Portage with a maximum depth of 53 feet and small, sheltered wind exposure. The lake features extensive shallow, weedy bays that provide productive fish habitat. It has three campsites and connects by open water to Kallio, Makwa, and Hoe. Access is via easy 21-rod portage from the shortest carry, though reaching Little Saganaga requires a difficult 132-rod portage.
