Western is a small, sheltered 131-acre lake near Burntside Lake in St. Louis County with maximum depth of 12 feet. Extensive shallow, weedy bays provide productive fish habitat. The lake has one campsite and is accessed via portages to Buck Lake (87 rods, moderate) or Glenmore Lake (203 rods, strenuous).
