Vern is a 123-acre lake near Lutsen with a maximum depth of 42 feet. Small and sheltered from wind, it features extensive shallow, weedy bays that provide excellent habitat for northern pike, smallmouth bass, walleye, and white sucker. The lake has two campsites and connects by open water to Juno. Access is straightforward via an easy 13-rod portage to Whack.
