South Hegman Lake

South Hegman is a small, sheltered 118-acre lake near Ely with a maximum depth of 55 feet and four campsites. Reach it via a 19-rod easy portage from North Hegman, or access the area through longer portages up to 86 rods of moderate difficulty. The lake connects by open water to Nels and North Hegman.
