Sand Point is a large, deep lake in St. Louis County near Crane Lake with 4,855 acres and maximum depth of 184 feet. This exposed, windy lake can be windbound during storms and offers only one campsite. Access is by open water from Little Vermilion, Crane, or Mukooda with no portages required. The lake supports diverse fishing including walleye, northern pike, smallmouth and largemouth bass, and lake sturgeon.
