Meat is a small, sheltered 14-acre lake near Ely with extensive shallow, weedy bays that provide excellent habitat for northern pike and yellow perch. The lake has one campsite and reaches a maximum depth of 24 feet. Access is via moderate portages to Clark (56 rods) or Sprite (73 rods). Its protected character and productive shallows make it popular with anglers despite limited camping options.
