Kawishiwi is a 372-acre lake near Tofte with shallow, weedy bays that provide excellent fish habitat. The lake holds walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and yellow perch among other species. Seven campsites are available, and paddlers can reach Square by open water with no portages required. Maximum depth reaches 12 feet.
