Kawasachong Lake

Kawasachong is a 162-acre lake with a maximum depth of 11 feet, located near Forest Center in Lake County. The lake features extensive shallow, weedy bays that provide productive fish habitat for northern pike, walleye, smallmouth bass, and yellow perch. Kawasachong is small and sheltered from wind, with four campsites. Access is via a challenging 159-rod portage from Townline, and open water connects to Short and Stringer lakes.
