Henson Lake

Henson is a 111-acre lake near Grand Marais with a maximum depth of 40 feet and small, sheltered conditions ideal for paddlers seeking calm water. Extensive shallow, weedy bays provide productive fish habitat for northern pike, yellow perch, and other species. The lake connects by open water to East Otto, Omega, Creeper, and Flicker, with portages ranging from 30 rods (easy) to 92 rods (moderate). Five campsites are available.
