Gunflint (Canada) Lake

Gunflint is a large, deep lake near Grand Marais with a maximum depth of 200 feet. Its fairly open character means paddlers should expect windy and choppy conditions. With no portages required, you can paddle directly to Little Gunflint, Magnetic, and Lonely by open water. The lake offers five campsites and excellent fishing for lake trout, walleye, northern pike, and smallmouth bass, among other species.
