Grassy Lake, a 257-acre shallow lake near Ely, offers small, sheltered paddling with extensive weedy bays that support excellent fishing for northern pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and perch. Access is via a moderate 53-rod portage from Tee Lake. The lake has two campsites and connects by open water to Low Lake.
